Tomatoes are popping up in our local markets.  This seasonal fruit is at it's best and as foodies, it is our responsibility to take advantage of the myriad of ways that we can prepare them.  Here are five more spectacular summer tomato recipes that will urge you to get in the kitchen and start cooking.

Fresh Tomato Soup
No more of that canned stuff.  This recipe uses fresh tomatoes that results in a soup with a clean and pure tomato flavor.

Fried Green Tomatoes
A classic Southern recipe for unripe tomatoes.  Slices of tomato are coated in a cornmeal crust and then fried to perfection.

Caprese Salad Towers
Slices of ripe tomato and stacked with fresh mozzarella and topped with basil pesto for a delicious summer salad.
