The Los Angeles Times profiles a new wave of self-described young coffee sobs who are taking classes on how to roast their own beans at home. Courses are popping up across California and stores selling the proper roasting equipment has also appeared. "I'm a coffee snob, and it was really good. I was excited by the craft of it," the founder of one of the courses, Joseph Shuldiner, says, "and blown away by how simple it is and how much control you could get from it."
