Sweet and Savory Yummy Mummies
Recipe courtesy of Flatout® Flatbread
Makes 6 sweet or 10-12 savory Yummy Mummies
Ingredients for Sweet Yummy Mummies:
2 cups orange juice
1 package Flatout Flatbread®
6 tablespoons peanut butter (regular or reduced-fat) or Nutella hazelnut chocolate spread
Ingredients for Savory Yummy Mummies:
1 package Flatout® Flatbread
1 package hot dogs (beef, turkey, chicken or tofu)
Olive oil cooking spray
To assemble the Sweet Yummy Mummies:
Cut bananas in half length-wise and soak in orange juice for one minute. Once bananas are soaked, enjoy the orange
juice with the extra flavor!
Spread approximately 1 tablespoons of peanut butter or Nutella on Flatout® Flatbread. Cut into approximately 9 strips width-wise. Roll tightly around the banana, brushing the ends lightly with peanut butter or Nutella - starting at the bottom until covered, leaving a small gap in wrapping at the top to create a face.
Place 2 small dollops of remaining peanut butter or Nutella on the part of the banana that’s still showing, topping with raisins to create eyes.
For the Savory Yummy Mummies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut each into Flatout® Flatbread approximately 9 strips width-wise and tightly roll around each hot dog, brushing the ends lightly with ketchup to seal, leaving a small gap in wrapping at the top to create a face.
Place each mummy on a cookie sheet and spray with cooking spray. Bake the mummies for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the mummies from the oven and let cool slightly. Add two small drops of yellow mustard on the part of the hot dog that’s still showing to create eyes.
