Bake a Perfect Bundt Cake

A Halloween themed party is just the way to make this holiday a family affair. It's a delicious bundt cake that is decorated in beautiful Halloween colors. We love that the blogger LoveBakesGoodCakes shared this amazing recipe. 

Bundt cakes  are very special. Historically, the are a German-coffee type cake that was baked in an elaborate mold. They may have been different designs, but each had one distinct similarity; each cake pan has a tube in the middle that helps the heat cook the cake evenly. It was the Americans that began referring to these cakes as Bundts.  

Making a Bundt is a little bit different than baking a standard cake. Due to their design, take extra care to apply a thorough layer of grease and flour to the inside of the pan. Even if you are using a spray, apply an even coat and then reapply a second time.  Once the cake is ready for the oven, be certain that the cake is level so the details of the cake pan transfers evenly. Finally, once the cake is finished baking, only cool it for 10 or 15 minutes and then invert and remove the cake to a cooling rack. 

A simple bundt cake that we love: 

Quick and Easy Bundt Cake
1 (4 oz) package instant chocolate pudding and pie filling
1 package devil's food cake mix
1 3/4 cups milk
1 (12 oz) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
Preparation
 
Combine pudding mix, cake mix, chocolate chips, milk and eggs in a large bowl. Mix by hand until well blended, about 2 minutes.
Bake in greased Bundt pan in preheated 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes, or until cake springs back when pressed lightly with finger. Cool for 30 minutes in pan, then remove.
